District of Columbia, supporting the individual right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, was read the second time. Senator Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Resources Committee Substitute offered on page 1746. Senator Bunde objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objection, CS FOR SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 13(RES) Urging the governor to direct the attorney general to file an amicus curiae brief with the United States Supreme Court in the case of District of Columbia v. Heller, supporting the individual right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, was adopted and was before the Senate on final passage. 2008-02-01 Senate Journal Page 1748 The question being: "Shall CS FOR SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 13(RES) Urging the governor to direct the attorney general to file an amicus curiae brief with the United States Supreme Court in the case of District of Columbia v. Heller, supporting the individual right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, pass the Senate?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSSCR 13(RES) Final Passage YEAS: 14 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 6 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Bunde, Davis, Dyson, Ellis, Elton, French, Green, Kookesh, McGuire, Olson, Stedman, Stevens, Thomas, Wielechowski Excused: Cowdery, Hoffman, Huggins, Therriault, Wagoner, Wilken and so, CS FOR SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 13(RES) passed the Senate and was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
